MANGALORE : “ If a Muslim youth falling in love with a Hindu girl and then marrying her is “Love Jihad,” what can be said of the several marriages that have been held under the leadership of the Hindu organizations like Sri Rama Sene and Bhajrangdal, at the Arya Samaj by converting several non-Hindu girls ?.” This question was posed by JD (U) District Spokesperson Vishanth D’Souza in a press communiqué.
“Love Jihad is a media creation. But today an attempt is being made to create a rift between majorities and minorities by some communal organizations which are staging protests in the name of Love Jihad,” he said.
D’Souza further opined that there was a need to unitedly oppose the continuing atrocities on women in the nation and questioned why the organizations which protest against Love Jihad are silent as far as the Padmapriya case was concerned.
