MANJESHWAR : Investigations so far have revealed that nearly five young women from Kasargod have fallen prey to the serial kiler Mohan Kumar. Reports of late even suggest that a young lady from Bekur might have been killed by Mohan.
Poornima (25) of Bekur Subhashnagar who had left home on May 28, 2007 saying she would visit her granny’s house at Kunjattur was missing since the past two yeras. Today, her family members express doubts if she too might have been fallen a victim at the hands of the serial killer.
It is learnt, Poornima was conducting music classes at home. Frantic search for her had failed and her family could not trace her whereabouts.
According to reports, a person had come in search of her around two months prior to her missing. He had then identified himself as an employee of the forest department and had said he was willing to marry Poornima. Now after Mohan’s photograph has appeared in the media, Poornima’s father recalls that the stranger who had visited their house two years ago was resembling Mohan.
But, it is learnt, police in Kumble, Badiadka and Adoor are not keen on investigating into these cases as so far no complaint had been lodged regarding the missing of the girls, in any police stations.
