PADUBIDRI : A gang of unidentified assailants attacked notorious rowdy Jeethu alias Jithendra at Alangar in Padubidri late last night. Jeethu who was an accused in several cases had even been imprisoned several times.
The attack took place when Jeethu was returning home in the bike of his friend Mahesh late last night after attending a mehendi function.
Jeethu who sustained serious head injuries in the attack, has been admitted to a private hospital. Jeethu who had escaped to Mumbai after grievously attacking a person at a bar in Padubidri had later fled to Mumbai. He was however arrested after his return and was later out of bail. He, it is learnt, had remained away from criminal activities since some time.
