BANGALORE : The State Human Right Commission Chairman Justice SR Nayak has directed the chief secretary of the state government to order for a probe by an officer of the IGP rank into the recent incident at Dharmasthala wherein CRPF personnel of Andhra Pradesh fired at locals in Dharmasthala killing one person.
The Commission has also directed the government to submit a report on the compensation provided to the families of the deceased and the injured as well as the report on the magisterial enquiry.
Justice SR Nayak has also recommended legal action against those responsible for the inhuman act and also to provide suitable compensation to the family of the deceased, stating that lest it would be tantamount to the failure of the judicial system.
