MANGALORE: Aravind Srivastava, Managing Director of the KUIDFC, has informed that the basic infrastructural developmental projects initiated by the KUIDFC under KUDCEMP (Karnataka Urban Development and Coastal Environment Management Plan) in ten towns of the coastal Karnataka would be completed by March 2010.
Srivastava informed that the funds required for the implementation of the scheme (Rs 145 million dollars ) is being acquired from the Asian Development Bank and the projects would be completed within the fixed time schedule.
He said the underground drainage projects being undertaken in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts would be completed by next month and assured that the rest of the works taken up in Dandeli, Karwar, Kundapur and other places too would be completed on schedule.
In the Mangalore city corporation limits, the underground drainage works have already been completed in Kavoor and Pachanady, he said adding the projects have been delayed at Jeppinamogaru and Suratkal due to problems of contractors.
