KARWAR : ” Why should be apply saying we would back the BJP government?” such a question was posed by JD(S) state president and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.
Answering queries from press men after visiting the flood affected people of Karwar, he said ” The Yeddyurappa government has the people’s mandate. Therefore our wish is that it completes its full term.” He further warned that his party would launch a movement if the government did not respond to the problems of the flood hit people within one month.
” The CM has said that we will see a new Yeddyurappa. Let him first come out of the situation wherein he functions as a remote control chief minister,”HDK said.
When told that he seems to be interested in extending external support or be a part of the government by having a soft corner for Yeddyurappa, Kumaraswamy said “The State President of the BJP has made it clear that it did not need the support of the JD(S). When this is the case why should we apply to the government saying we will support them ?” he questioned.
” We will praise the government when it does good works and criticize it when it errs. We have pointed out the government’s follies both inside and outside the assembly. Our wish is that the instability in the government should not come in the way of progress works,” Kumaraswamy said.
