Karopady is waiting for a concrete bridge

Posted on Jan 28th, 2012 and filed under Special Report.

VITTAL : Villagers of Karopady in Vittal are suffering almost every day-thanks to the lack of

will power and determination of the elected representatives. The absence of a proper bridge at a

place called Gundamajalu Paalige has hit hard the villagers.

Though the place has a pedestrian bridge, it is of little help. Vehicles move on the land below the

bridge only when the lake gets dry during summer. Though there is good road on either side of

this bridge, it has proved to be of no use as repeated appeals to the authorities for a bridge have

gone unheard of. Villagers also complain that the elected representatives who promise a bridge

prior to elections, conveniently forget the same once elections are over.
