Restrictions on bike riders in K’god

MANJESHWAR : Police authorities have imposed certain restrictions on bike riders in six police station limits in Kasargod sub-division following the reports that the recent violence that rocked Kasargod was first kickstarted by a gang which arrived by bikes.
As per the new orders, pillion riding a bike has been banned. However, patients, women, children below five years and people above 50 years are exempted from this rule.
The police have also warned of action in case those who do not possess RC were found riding any bike. Even the owners of the bikes sans silencers will be booked. The order will be in vogue for three months as per a decision taken at an all party peace committee meeting
