MANGALORE : In a tragic mishap, a six year old girl who was walking on the roadside was killed when she was knocked down by a speeding car in Bajpe police station limits on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Mehek Sheikh, the eldest daughter of Mohammad Sameer of Kinnikambla. Sameer is employed in Saudi Arabia.
The mishap took place when the girl was returning home after visiting her friend’s house for Bakrid. The car was heading towards Kateel from Puttur when it knocked down the girl who died while being taken to hospital.
Mehek is a class I student of Pompei English Medium School of Bajpe.
