KARWAR : It seems the authorities at Kaiga nuclear power plant are trying their level best to hush up facts regarding the recent incident of radiation leakage in the plant. The rumours are further gaining grounds in the backdrop of the Uttara Kannada SP and DC refuting the statement made by JP Gupta who is in-charge of the plant.
Though Gupta says the district administration as well as the police have been informed of the leakage, SP Ramangupta says the department had no official information regarding the incident until Sunday. ” Until now we have not received any official complaint from the project authorities,” says the SP.
Even DC Narasimhamurthi says the district administration had not been provided any information regarding the incident in the plant.
