KUNDAPUR : Two students of the Koderi Gangebailu Government Higher Primary School near Nagoor have been tested positive for the H1N1 virus, creating quite a panicky situation. A holiday has been declared for the school for three days in this backdrop.
It is learnt 60 students of the school had started complaining of fever, throat pain and cold symptoms on November 28 and the same was reported to the nearby health centre by the headmaster on December 2. However only two of them were tested positive for H1N1 and medical officer of the local primary health centre informed that all the students including the H1N1 patients were recovering. It is suspected that the children might have contracted the virus while they had been to the Kambala and fair in Byndoor area.
Health officials had also convened a meeting of parents to create an awareness about H1N1
