PUTTUR : The Karnataka Information Commission has issued summons to the Puttur Tahsildar for failing to give a satisfactory reply to an application filed under the Right to Information Act.
Kunhimonu alias Iddu Beary Puttu Usman Shafi of Uppinangady had applied under the Right to Information Act, seeking details with regard to amending RTC. But, when he did not receive any satisfactory reply on time, he had complained to the Commission following which a summons was issued to the Tahsildar.
The Commission office has even arranged a hearing on January 19 at 11.30 for early disposal of complaints. B Ashok, under secretary of the Information Commission has in the summons issued to the Tahsildar has said that the Tahsildar has to submit his written statement with regard to the application well prior to the date of hearing.
