MANGALORE : Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists raided the Adlabs Cinema at Bharath Mall, Bejai in the city on Wednesday which was screening the film ‘3 idiots’ despite a decision by the Film Chamber to shut theatres on Wednesday following the demise of the renowned Kannada actor Vishnuvardhan.
Confusion prevailed at Adlabs following the unexpected raid by the Vedike activists. Earlier, the Vedike activists, on being informed that Adlabs was screening the film, had made a request to stop screening of the film. However when the request went unheard of, the Vedike activists raided the place. When the Adlabs authorities still refused to budge there was a fracas between the activists and the authorities and finally the show was cancelled after the owners refunded the ticket amount to the customers.
