MANGALORE:  Search for Ramya Shetty, the young woman hailing from Naringana, who is reported missing, has been intensified after a mobile set belonging to her was traced by the Konaje police and seized from a mobile shop near Kadambar in Manjeshwar.

Meanwhile, police who have got the time limit set by the HC to trace her, extended upto December 4, have intensified search for Ramya.

It has been alleged that Mohammad of Naringana had kidnapped her after luring her of a good job. Meanwhile, Ramya’s brother had filed a habeas corpus writ in the High Court seeking to trace his sister. Though the HC had directed the Konaje police to trace Ramya by December 24, they have sought extension of time limit and the time limit has now been extended upto December 4.

Presently search for Ramya is on  in Kasargod area.

Investigations revealed that Ramya who was in financial distress had sold her mobile set for Rs 200. Police expressed strong doubts that the pair might be in hiding somewhere in Kasargod.
