Churches in Bhatkal, Mysore attacked

MANGALORE: Churches were attacked in Ternemakki in Bhatkal and in Mysore even as the damage of a crucifix at Mundalli in Bhatkal recently, was afresh in public minds.
Miscreants stoned the statue of the Mother Mary in front of the St Antony Church at Ternemakki in Kaikani near Bhatkal and damaged the glass case which covered the statue . The incident is learnt to have taken place on Sunday night. According to locals, no police security had been provided to the church though all other churches in the taluk were under strict vigil following the Mundalli incident.
In Mysore, miscreants damaged the statue of Mother Mary at the Holy Family Church at Hinakal in the outskirts the city. Even this incident took place on Sunday night.
