Syndicate directs agitating students to attend classes

MANGALORE : The special Syndicate meeting of the Mangalore University which was scheduled to be held at 10.30 am on Wednesday was however held at 3.30 pm owing to the protest by Dalit organizations.
The meeting has directed the students to immediately attend classes or else they would face attendance shortage. They would be considered absent on all the days they boycotted classes, the meeting said. The Syndicate which failed to come to any conclusion on the Umeshchandra issue, however said Umeshchandra could not take classes until the next Syndicate meeting.
