Muslim youth attacked by fundamentalists

MANGALORE : An incident in which a Muslim youth working in a computer accessories shop near Navabharath Circle in the city was attacked by activists of an organization took place on Friday. A complaint lodged with the police said the assailants even robbed the mobile and cash of the youth during the attack.
The incident took place in a computer repair shop named Crystal located in the SKDP building near Navabharath Circle. It is learnt the youth was attacked for the reason that he was working along with Hindu women in the shop.
The shop had a total of five staff of which two were Hindu girls. Even a Muslim youth who was a college classmate of the girls, was working in the same shop and was in friendly terms with the girl. The activists of the organization reportedly attacked the youth for his proximity with the Hindu girls.
Another staff of the shop namely Shivu has lodged a complaint with the Kadri police wherein he said “ Kalandar who was a computer engineer was attacked for no reason by activists of an organization who have even threatened his life.”
