MANGALORE: The Manager of IndusInd Bank in Mangalore, has lodged a complaint with the police against Franklin Saji, the CEO of the Light House Hill road branch of the Bank alleging that he had cheated the bank of several lakhs of rupees by drawing cash after transferring the same from the bank to some one else’s account.
It is learnt the accused hailed from Kerala and had thus drawn a cash of Rs 6.44 lakhs during the period between November 26, 2008 and July 31, 2009.
The cheating came to light during the annual auditing and the officer had then been suspended from service. Though, of the misused amount Rs 5.67 lakh was recovered from the officer, he had not repaid the balance amount of Rs 77000 within the time stipulated by the Bank and is now absconding. Investigations are in progress as per a complaint lodged by the bank manager Kishore Kumar.
