MANGALORE : CCB police from Bangalore have arrested notorious rowdy Alwyn Pinto and two of his accomplices while they were planning a dacoity on the APMC Yard Binni Mill road in the capital. Alwyn Pinto hailing from Kinnikambla near Kaikamba, was wanted by the police in connection with some murder and dacoity cases.
The other two persons arrested are Umanath Shetty (27) of Maddur in Udupi and Chittaranjan Shetty (48) of Bannerghatta. Two others namely Sunil and Sridhar however escaped.
Alwyn Pinto was wanted by the police in connection with two murders including that of former TP chief MD Jabbar. Police said the trio was also the accused in the case of burgling the residence of one Balakrishna Vaidya in Hebri police station limits.
Police have recovered 200 gms of jewellery, revolver, knives and other lethal weapons from the arrested.
It is learnt they who had been out on bail had escaped by not appearing before the court.
