UDUPI : Karkala police have arrested four leaders of the Sri Rama Sene in connection with the stoning of the residence of Congress leader and former minister Vasanth Salian and also damaging a Scorpio vehicle parked in the shed.
The arrested are Jithesh Kumar, state Co-Convenor of Sri Rama Sene, Suresh Acharya, Udupi District Convenor of Sri Rama Sene, Madhukar Mudradi, Sri Rama Sene Spokesperson and Rohit. The four were arrested while they were staying in a lodge at Moodbidri, on Sunday afternoon. However, the family members of the arrested have alleged that the police though had arrested them on Sunday afternoon had kept them under illegal detention by not producing them before court till Tuesday morning.
