Padubidri bundh on Feb 22

PADUBIDRI : The anti-Nagarjuna activists have decided to observe a bundh in the town of Padubidri on February 22 opposing the unlawful activities undertaken by the ‘anti-people’ Nagarjuna (Udupi Power Corporation Ltd.) The protestors are even planning to gherao the Padubidri police station on that day.
Already the bundh call has been backed by various organizations including Nandikur Jana Jagrithi Samithi, local unit of the Bhajrangdal and other organizations and citizens.
One of the activists Nagesh Rao informed that the agitators would place before the district administration several of their demands including enforcement of goonda act against those resorting to goondaism in favour of the company, to hand over the rightful owners, the lands that have been unauthorizedly leveled and acquired and to stop all unlawful activities undertaken by the project authorities.
