MANGALORE: Police investigations and interrogations of the Sri Rama Sene leader Prasad Attavar, who has been arrested on charges of maintaining links with underworld don Ravi Poojari, have revealed that he was threatening the builders after gathering details about them on the pretext of providing security to them through his security agency.
Attavar who runs a security agency in Mangalore had also availed the contract of providing security personnel to several buildings in Mangalore. Even the modus operandi he pursued to avail the security contract was simple. He neither had to apply for tender nor provide his quotation; he only used to threaten the firms that their reputation would be at stake if their firm was raided on charges that boys and girls were misbehaving. An inside source even revealed that interrogations of Attavar proved the point that the Sri Rama Sene had even raided the Amnesia pub at Balmatta solely for the reason that the pub had not awarded the security contract to Attavar’s firm.
Attavar who following this infamous pub attack, had declared that all pubs would be targeted in the days to come, however had not acted accordingly, as in the meantime, he had been successful in availing the security contract of all pubs.
Even the sex culture of this saffron clad Sri Rama Sene leader who claims himself to be a protector of Indian culture was exposed, when the laptop and the pen drive seized from his residence, was found loaded with innumerous sex videos. Even the telephone numbers and address of several prestigious builders and businessmen of the city were found in his laptop.
Interrogations also revealed that he used the Voice over Internet Protocol to issue threatening calls to builders from foreign telephone numbers. The laptop was seized following a raid to his house by the Kadri police.
