Youth playing Kabaddi attacked

MANGALORE: Two youth playing Kabaddi at the Guddekopla area on Sunday evening were reportedly attacked by the Bhajrangdal activists, creating tension in the area for some time. The youth namely Taufique and Nauseen, have been admitted to hospital. It is said the Bhajrangdal activists attacked the two with lethal weapons for the sole reason that they stared at them.
A large crowd had gathered outside Suratkal station following the incident. Meanwhile, it is learnt the injured youth have refused to lodge any complaint. Suratkal SI Ramesh Hanapura, said three persons had been taken into custody soon after the incident and that the victims have not identified the accused.
