BANTWAL: Bantwal police had to resort to a lathi charge to disperse the mob when there was a fracas between the KFD and a few members on board the Talapady Badria Jumma Masjid during the Masjid meeting on Sunday night.
A financial dispute was learnt to be the cause of the fracas. It has been alleged that the cops caned almost everyone present, including women and children. Even the local Congress leader KH Aboobakker has suffered injuries in the lathi charge.
