CM’s false promise to Moodbidri

Posted on Mar 22nd, 2010 and filed under General.

MOODBIDRI: The underground drainage problem in Moodbidri town is all likely to continue as the Chief Minister’s earlier assurance to allocate funds for the project during this year’s budget, has turned out to be a false assurance.

It remains a fact that a fast growing town of Moodbidri is not equipped with necessary infrastructural as well as basic amenities over the years. The TMC administration had earlier even held talks with the CM seeking a solution to the underground drainage problem. The Chief Minister had then assured to allocate a grant of Rs one crore in the present year’s budget for the scheme, thus bringing in a ray of hope among the residents.

But the failure to allocate funds in this year’s budget has been a great disappointment to the people of the town.
