KASARGOD : Unidentified assailants stoned the St Mary’s Orthodox Syrian Church at Pilikunje here on Tuesday night damaging the glass case of the portrait of a religious head.
Reports said the glasses of the portrait of Kuriakose Mar Gregorious of Pambadi Diocese, which was in the outer precincts of the church had been damaged in the stoning. Even stones were found at the spot.
As the area was quite secluded, it proved a boon to the assailants to execute their act. This latest incident on the attack on a religious place of Christians in Kerala has caused concern among the Christian fraternity.
