MANGALORE : Mangalore MLA UT Khader has demanded that the Chief Minister Yeddyurappa immediately transfer the power portfolio which he was presently holding to someone else.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Khader while recollecting the former energy minister Eshwarappa’s statement that there would be no power cuts during exam time, said the CM by retaining with him the portfolios of several who have been dropped from the cabinet, was unable to solve the power problem.

“The state government and its ministers may understand the gravity of the problem if the generators and inverters in their residents are switched off,” Khader reacted sharply.
