19th murder of the serial killer stands exposed

BANGALORE: Yet another murder of serial killer Mohan Kumar has come to light of late, taking the number of murders to his credit to 19.

As per information available, Arathi Nayak (22), daughter of Rama Naika, a resident of Padre in Kasargod district was the woman who was also eliminated by Mohan. So far only 18 murder cases have been registered against Mohan and this would be the 19th case against him.

CoD police investigating into the case have found that Mohan had killed Arathi at the KSRTC bus stand at Mysore on January 4, 2006. As of now charge sheets with regard to 11 murders have been filed in the court, while investigation into rest of the cases is underway.

As far as Arathi death case is concerned, a case had earlier been registered in Lashkar police station in Mysore. The CID SP KP Bheemayya is looking into the Arathi murder case and the fact that the woman was also a victim of Mohan Kumar came to light when the cases of women who went missing and later found murdered in Karnataka during 2004-2009 were being reviewed.
