MANGALORE : A few high school teachers have complained that they were in a fix as they have been instructed to shoulder double responsibility –of evaluating SSLC answer papers and undertake census works simultaneously.

A few teachers who contacted The Canara Times said they have received orders from the SSLC board as well as the district administration and are now in a dilemma.

If high school teachers have the responsibility of undertaking the 2011 census, some of these teachers have even received orders to take part in SSLC evaluation. They say there was a need to reconsider the orders issued to some teachers who are also entrusted with the responsibility of SSLC evaluation.

Interestingly, a training programme is also scheduled to take place for teachers this month in view of the gram panchayat elections to be held shortly.

Affected teachers hope the district administration as well as the SSLC Board would find some solution to their problem.
