Kidnap of minor girls : Accused acquitted

PUTTUR : The District Second Additional Sessions Judge has acquitted one Harish, of Kodimbadi of the charges of kidnapping two minor girls and placing them under house arrest, four years ago.
It was alleged that Harish had lured the two girls from the Puttur bus stand area saying he would take them to Jog Falls on August 15, 2005. He instead had taken them to Shimoga and placed them under house arrest in a rented house on Magadi Road in Bangalore. The father of the two girls had lodged a complaint with the Puttur town police who had registered a case and had filed the charge sheet.
