MANGALORE : The Mangalore city Corporation authorities have finally woken up from their slumber. The huge heap of wastes that had been dumped on either side of the National Highway near the Kadri Park, have finally been cleared. Still wastes are seen scattered at some places here. A report in Karavali Ale and The Canara Times had highlighted the issue and also the problems the wastes in the area was posing. The reports also said how wastes brought in lorries were dumped straight on the highway side upto a distance of half a km from the petrol bunk near KPT with the corporation turning a blind eye to the same. Even the repeated complaint by locals had been of no avail.

No sooner the report appeared, the MCC officials were quick enough to clear the place of the wastes.
