PUTTUR: In the wake of rumours that the Puttur MLA Mallika Prasad would quit her legislatorship owing to ill-health, BJP leaders have clarified that the legislator would not quit.

Reacting to the rumours, Gopalkrishna Herale, Puttur assembly constituency unit President of the BJP said “There is no question of the Puttur MLA Mallika Prasad who is presently under rest at home following ill-health, resigning. She will complete her full term of five years. Some opponents who are dreaming that they could become MLAs if Mallika quits, are spreading such rumours.”

He further said “The Legislator has told me that she would not rest and dedicate herself to public service once again if party workers are of the opinion that her ill-health would come in the way of the development of Puttur. It is only those who could not digest the developmental works initiated by the MLA who are spreading such false rumours.”
