MANGALORE : The Popular Front of India activists staged a dharna in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in the city on Friday evening demanding a ban on Sri Rama Sene which would create disturbance anywhere in exchange for cash.

“The Tehelka operation has revealed that Rama Sene leader Pramod Mutalik and his aides Prasad Attavar, Jithesh and Vasanth Kumar Bhavani had demanded a cash of Rs 60 lakhs to create violence. This is an act of treachery and all of them should be arrested,” the agitators demanded.

They further said “ This is however not the first time that the true colour of Mutalik has been revealed. Earlier at a public programme in Udupi he had said women should take up arms, while in Mysore the inflammatory speech by him had ignited violence.”
The agitation was participated among others by Anwar Sadat, District President of PFI, Abdul Razak Kemmar, Shafi Bellare and others.

Even the Udupi unit of the PFI has demanded the arrest of Mutalik and his aides.
