PUTTUR: Schools have reopened after summer vacations. As all other students even this tenth standard student attended school with great joy. She attended classes for three days but had to face a rude shock on the fourth day when her teacher told that she cannot attend the classes as she had failed in ninth standard.

Mufidattul Kubra, a tenth standard student in Kumbra Government PU College is presently facing a dilemma and the future of a meritorious student is at stake due to the negligence of the school staff.

Kubra had been to the school on May 28 along with her mother to know her results. Then teachers had asked them to ask the attender about the results and the attender after viewing the result list had informed that Kumbra had passed.

Her parents had even admitted her to tenth standard after paying the requisite fees.

The girl attended the classes along with others on May 29 and was even given the text books. But on June 2, the head master who summoned her to his chamber informed that she had to appear for a re exam as she had failed in four subjects in ninth standard, giving a great shock to the girl who now says she does not wish to continue studies in that school.

Kubra says “ For two days, even my attendance was registered and text books too were given to me.” However she has been mentioned as pass in the register and also in the school admission book. However the school teachers and staff are not ready to give a suitable explanation. Even Kubra’s family says she was a talented student who had full attendance and even scored good marks.

Contact BEO : When the principal Puttasiddaiah was contacted, he said “ Kubra ought to have visited the school along with her parents on the day of the result. But she did not come that day and her parents too had not attended the Samudaya programme in the school. The class teacher had by mistake marked her as pass. Let her appear for a re-exam and she will be admitted to the tenth standard if she passes.” “If you pity the student, then contact the BEO and see that she is passed,” he further said sharply.
