BANGALORE: KPCC President RV Deshpande is all likely to face axe in the backdrop of the reports of the party misusing the flood relief fund collected in aid of the North Karnataka flood victims last year.
It is by now crystal clear that one faction in the KPCC was trying to mount pressure on the party high command to demand Deshpande’s resignation after holding him responsible for the fund misuse. It has also become inevitable for the party high command to seek Deshpande’s resignation to save its face. Already several leaders have convinced the high command that Deshpande had lost the moral right to continue as KPCC chief. The leaders, it is learnt have also forwarded the documents relating to fund misuse to the high command.
