UDUPI : The Udupi unit of the Karnataka Dalita Sangharsha Samithi (Prof. Krishnappa) has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Udupi Deputy Commissioner, demanding action against the Udupi Government Women’s Pre-University College Principal who is facing charges of unauthorisedly collecting donation from the students.

The memorandum has pointed out that over Rs 1000 was collected as donations from each of the student being admitted to the Udupi Government PU College for women, against the rules and thereby misusing lakhs of rupees.

The Samithi also alleged that the district officials of the Pre-University Education Department too had failed to prevent his illegal collection of donation from the students though earlier, consequent upon a complaint by the Committee, an investigation had been done following which the investigation officers had directed the deputy director of the PU Education Department in Udupi to see that there was no unauthorized collection of donations in any government institute. Still the rules are being violated and funds collected, the DSS has alleged and demanded suitable action against those found guilty.
