3 arrested for raping minor at city’s railway station

MANGALORE : Railway police have areested three persons on the charges of raping an
Orissa based girl at the Central Railway station in Mangalore recently.
The arrested are Nischith(20), railway mechanic and a resident of Attavar, Ayub (23) of
Ullal, who sells eatables in train and another person named Ashok.
The girl who was working in the residence of Emilda on Kadri Alvares Road had been to
the railway station to go to her home town on July 15 Wednesday, when the incident took
place.
Though medical examination of the girl had suggested that she was not sexually
exploited recently, but an attempt was made to rape her about three months ago, the girl
had argued that she was raped by three persons on Wednesday itself.
