UDUPI: The Udupi District unit of the Campus Front of India staged a demonstration
near the Clock Tower near the service bus stand in the town on July 17 Saturday,
demanding action against the principal of the Udupi Government Women’s Pre-
University College who, it said was indulging in widespread irregularities in the college.
The agitators also demanded action against the Deputy Director of the Pre-University
Education Department in the district for abetting with the irregularities.
Addressing the agitators, Nawaz, President of the Udupi district unit of Campus Front,
said thousands of rupees were collected as donations from the students in the institute and
alleged that the principal was falsely stating that the documents and receipt books had
been stolen.
Even Dalita Sangharsha Samithi leaders took part in the protest.
