BANGALORE : “ Last December, the rebellion within the BJP government had reached
even upto Delhi. Had I intended to bring down the Government, I would have done
so then itself. But without doing so I had suggested the government to sort out the
differences,” said State Governor Hamsaraj Bharadwaj.
In an interview to a news channel, the Governor said “ Yeddyurappa is facing harassment
from some ministers in his cabinet. Even the union government is aware of this. Though
I am a Congressman, I am discharging my duties in accordance to constitutional
guidelines. No one needs to have any doubt in this regard.”
The CM, he said was facing a lot of problems due to a few ministers.
“I have never told anywhere that there was ‘jungle rule’ in the state. This statement is
however applicable to a few areas of the state. I am aware of my responsibilities. I need
no lessons from others in this regard,” he said.
“Illegal mining is a serious scam. Several have earned crores from this business. I have
mentioned the names of ministers involved in this business in my report to the President.
I don’t have the authority to dismiss any minister. Had I such an authority, I would have
dismissed three ministers long back,” the Governor said in reply to a question.
