already six schools have been closed down for want of students.
The Kapikad Ullal Lower Primary School in Mangalore, Periyodi Lower Primary School

or less students. He says the students who were studying in the closed schools have been
admitted to nearby schools and that the closed schools would be used to open teachers
training centres. There are also plans to conduct classes for the disabled children in these
buildings.
However the schools will be opened, if there is demand for admission from more than ten
students, he informed.
