MANGALORE : Six persons have been tested positive for H1N1 in Mangalore, bringing in fears of the spread of Swine Flu yet again. Since June 16, the District Health and Family Welfare Department has collected nasal and throat swabs of 24 people with symptoms of the influenza.
Of the six persons affected by H1N1, five are from Mangalore while another person is from Madikeri. Three of them are learnt to have been discharged after treatment, while the rest three are still receiving treatment at quarantined wards in some private hospitals.
District Surveillance Officer Rajesh BV has informed that the required medicine and tablets to treat the infection have already been supplied and advised people not to neglect even when they contract mild fever.
