BANTWAL : The Mangalore Fast Track Court has rejected the anticipatory bail application of SI Madhava Kudlu in connection with the case of assault on one Thomas Montheiro after forcibly entering into the office of BC Road’s advocate Suresh Poojari.
The advocate had filed a private petition in the Bantwal court against the then SI of Bantwal town station Madhava Koodlu and police personnel Shailendra, Mahesh, Vasanth Gowda, Ramesh and Dhananjaya in connection with the assault case.
The court which had taken up the case for hearing had issued summons to Kudlu and the other accused cops to appear before the court. However, when they failed to do so a non-bailable arrest warrant had been issued against them. Meanwhile, the anticipatory bail plea of Kudlu in the Mangalore Fast Track Court has been rejected. The accused are now required to appear before the Bantwal Court on August 8.
