What happened to the promise made by the State Transport Minister to introduce KSRTC city bus services in Mangalore ? At least 90 KSRTC buses, as promised but the minister should have been on the roads of Mangalore by now. Let the Deputy Commissioner take immediate steps to see that government city buses are pressed into service in Mangalore.
As of now, people are fed up with the rude and discourteous behavior of the private bus crew. They don’t even issue tickets to the passengers but just collect the fares.
The district has an in-charge minister ; the state home minister hails from the neighboring Udupi district and we have two MPs representing our region. What are they doing ? The doubt is that a powerful private bus lobby has a role to play behind this.
