MANGALORE: Western Range IGP Gopal Hosur has denied reports of the dissolution
of the SP’S Special Squad and the DCIB, following the formation of the Police
Commissionerate. The Commissionerate is expected to constitute a CCB shortly.
However, Hosur has clarified that CCB, SP’s Special Squad and DCIB are separate units
and that they will not be dissolved for any reason. But, there is scope for replacement of
the existing personnel in these units, he said.
Meanwhile, personnel of the SP’s Special Squad have been sent back to the stations were
they were functioning earlier.
