BANTWAL: Villagers of Kajottu in Kavalamudur village in Karinja Reserve Forest

Area were panic stricken for some time on August 8, Sunday when they found a cheetah

trapped in a bait laid for a wild boar that was troubling the farmers by destroying

agricultural crops.

When the cheetah was found struggling in the trap, the villagers informed the forest and

police department. The cheetah was later freed from the trap after injecting him with

tranquilizers. Later it was shifted to the Pilikula Nisargadhama in Mangalore.
