MANGALORE: Noted thinker Pattabhirama Somayaji has said that there was a need
for an organized movement to present before the people the true colours of the Sangh
Parivar.
He was addressing a protest organized by the Popular Front of India’s DK unit in the
city on August 9, Monday, demanding action against fascist Hindutva elements that are
responsible for disruptive activities like bomb explosion. Another demand was to hand
over the investigation into all bomb explosion cases in the nation to the CBI.
Continuing his speech, Somayaji said “The Sangh Parivar has since long been engaged
in the task of sowing the seeds of hatred among the people after taking them into
confidence.
Ilyas Mohammad, State President of PFI and other leaders addressed the meeting. A
protest march was also taken out from Jyothi Circle upto the DC office.
In Udupi: The PFI also staged a protest in Udupi under the auspices of its Udupi district
committee. Noted thinker G Rajashekhar, Niyamat Ali, District President of Popular
Front of India and others addressed the meeting.
