BANTWAL : The Gram Sabha of Sajipamunnur village held here recently, has urged the

government to give clear cut information regarding the exact amount of compensation

which the people who will be displaced due to the second vented dam at Tumbay,would

receive.

At the meeting held under the presidentship of GP chief Yusuf, Subrahmanya Bhat, the

General Secretary of the Action Committee of People affected by the dam project, drew

the attention of the authorities towards the fact that the affected people were worried of

their future prospects.

Later, the meeting resolved to send a copy of the resolution passed at the meeting with

regard to the compensation that would be given to the affected, to the minister for urban

development.
