Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane to honour BV See couple

BANGALORE: Karavali Ale Group Chief BV Seetaram and his wife Rohini S,

Managing Director of Chitra Publications Pvt Ltd, will be felicitated during the All

India Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane conference to be held in Bangalore from August 28

to 30. The theme of the conference is ‘For an oppression-free and self-reliant life.” The

couple will be honoured for their courageous fight against communal elements. The

Sanghatane has also provided the couple an opportunity to share with the participants

their experiences in their tirade against communal elements.

Sudha Sunderaraman, National General Secretary of the organization will inaugurate

the conference which will felicitate Shivamma a Dalit woman of Ramnagar who fought

against atrocities in the name of caste and Niveditha, the former chief of the Sharana

Mutt at Sirsi and her husband Chethan who fought for their right to lead a life of their

choice.

This has been informed by KS Lakshmi, General Secretary of the organization.

The Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane has over 2 crore membership all over the nation and

has been functioning as a voice of the oppressed since the past 30 years.

The three day conference would be attended by around 500 delegates from various parts

of the nation. Various seminars will be held as part of the conference.
