Bantwal finally gets a fire service station

BANTWAL : A fire service station which has been a long standing demand of Bantwal,

has finally become operational with Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa inaugurating the

station on August 23. Presently , temporary arrangements have been made near the

Bantwal PWD office for the fire service vehicles to park.

Land for the construction of a permanent building has already been identified and even

funds have been sanctioned of the same. The Police Housing Board would be taking up

the construction works.

The CM during is Bantwal visit has also announced the formation of a new Bantwal

Division of MESCOM. The division will have Bantwal and Belthangady taluks under it

and hopes to provide better facility to power consumers.
