Puttur cops hunt down the ‘tigers’

PUTTUR : The entire police team of Puttur which went about hunting for ‘tigers’ following a complaint lodged by a local trader, finally succeeded in nabbing the tigers near Court Road on Monday.
The famous ‘hulivesha’ team led by ‘Huliradha’ was performing its skills along the court road. When one of the traders refused to give money to this team during its performance, the team was alleged to have grabbed four sleeping mats from the shop.
A four member police team led by Head Constable Srikanth began its hunt for the ‘tigers’ following a complaint from the trader. Finally, they were traced near Court Road and the four mats were recovered by the police and restored to the owner. The police gave a stern warning to the troupe against resorting to any such tricks.
